Bamboo Introduction:

This is a 1949 (Republic of China Year 38) Guizhou Province One Yuan silver coin, commonly known as the "Bamboo Coin." It features a round window design. The obverse depicts a scenic view of Jiaxiu Tower, a famous landmark in Guiyang. Above is the inscription "Republic of China Year 38" in regular script, and below is "Made in Guizhou Province" in regular script. Five-petaled flower patterns are inlaid on the lower left and right sides. A small character "谷" (Gu) is located below the right side of the tower pillar. The English letters "TLK" are at the bottom of the tower. It is said that "谷" represents Provincial Chairman Gu Zhenglun, while "TLK" is said to represent Factory Director Xie Jiemin. The reverse features a design of three golden bamboo beads in the center, exhibiting strong local cultural characteristics. The denomination "One Yuan" is inscribed in regular script on both sides.
