[Ancient Gold Appraisal] Buying and selling Qing Dynasty silver coins minted in Hubei Province, 1900 (Guangxu 30th year), weighing one tael (Hubei Double Dragon).

In 1904, the Hubei Silver Coin Bureau was officially renamed the Silver Coin Bureau and began minting new silver coins. The Hubei Province One Tael coin, with the inscription "Great Qing Silver Coin" in the center of the obverse, is the earliest silver coin in China to bear the inscription "Great Qing Silver Coin." The reverse features a rare double dragon design, a design typically seen on Qing Dynasty paper money. Aside from the one-tael handmade silver coins issued in Xinjiang, this is the only officially issued and circulated silver coin. Due to its short issuance period, small mintage, poor circulation, and subsequent recall and melting, the Hubei Double Dragon One Tael coin from the 30th year of the Guangxu reign (1904) possesses extremely high collectible value in the market. Furthermore, its circulation has earned it the reputation of being a modern machine-made silver coin, the king of circulating coins!
