[Ancient Gold Appraisal] Buyback of a 1910 (Gengxu year) Spring Yunnan Province-made Xuantong Yuanbao coin, weighing 7.2 mace.

The Yunnan Province-minted Xuantong Yuanbao silver coin, weighing 7 mace and 2 candareens , is a silver coin minted in Yunnan Province during the late Qing Dynasty. Specifically, it was minted in the second year of the Xuantong reign of the Qing Dynasty, which is 1910 AD. According to the Chinese lunar calendar, this year is the Gengxu year , and the inscription "Gengxu Spring" on the coin indicates that it was minted in the spring of that year.

This silver coin was minted in the late Qing Dynasty to meet the economic situation and the demands of Sino-foreign trade. At that time, the Qing Dynasty faced internal and external troubles, especially in the southwest region. Yunnan Province was rich in silver mine resources, and the local mint was therefore responsible for producing a large number of circulating silver coins.

The Yunnan Province-minted Xuantong Yuanbao silver coin (7 mace and 2 candareens) from the spring of the Gengxu year (1900) has extremely high collectible value in the ancient coin market. Due to the limited number of silver coins minted during the Xuantong period of the Qing Dynasty, especially those marked "Spring of the Gengxu Year," their scarcity and excellent condition can fetch very high prices at auctions. The historical background, scarcity, design, craftsmanship, and preservation condition of a silver coin all influence its final market value.
