A Brief Introduction to the 1953 2-Jiao Renminbi (Second Edition) - Ancient Gold Appraisal

The obverse features a train image with a light purple-pink offset printing background and an intaglio printing background in black and green tones. The reverse features the national emblem and the inscription "People's Bank of China 2 Jiao" in Chinese, Mongolian, Tibetan, and Uyghur scripts, also with a light purple-pink offset printing background and black and green tones; a hollow five-pointed star watermark. This coin was issued on March 1, 1955. From November 15, 1971, it was only accepted but not issued, and it ceased circulation on December 15, 1971.
