A Brief Introduction to the 1953 5-Fen Renminbi (Second Edition) - Ancient Gold Appraisal

The obverse features the Hailiao ship in green tones; the reverse depicts the national emblem in green tones. It is double-sided offset printed without a watermark. This coin was issued on March 1, 1955. A version without serial numbers, only featuring Roman numeral prefixes, was introduced on July 14, 1981. From July 1, 2003, it was only accepted but not issued. It ceased circulation on April 1, 2007.
