The obverse features a green-toned image of the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge; the reverse features a green-toned national emblem and peony flowers. This coin was issued on April 15, 1964. From February 4, 1992, it was only accepted in exchange for payment and ceased circulation on July 1, 2000. The year engraved is "1962". Depending on the order of issuance, there are three types: one with an intaglio-printed red three-Roman numeral seven-digit number without watermark; one with a double-sided offset-printed red three-Roman numeral seven-digit number without watermark; and one with a double-sided offset-printed red two-Roman numeral eight-digit number without watermark.
