This 1885 French Indochina seated trade-silver coin supplies One Yuan, mintmark letter A, a seated figure and French inscriptions. It also supplies the inscription standards TITRE 0.900 and POIDS 27 GR. 215. These facts must not be replaced by those of a different trade coin.
Treat 1885, mintmark letter A, the seated figure and every French inscription as evidence to confirm on the object. TITRE 0.900 is the stated fineness inscription, while POIDS 27 GR. 215 gives a standard weight of 27.215 grams; neither is an actual test or scale result for this coin.
