The front of the silver coin features the four large Chinese characters "Guangxu Yuanbao" in the center, with "Beiyang Zao" engraved at the top and "Kuping Qiqian Erfen" (seven mace and two candareens) at the bottom. Key Factors Determining the Latest Acquisition Price of "Beiyang 34th Year Dragon Dollar"
If you want to know the latest acquisition price for the Guangxu Thirty-fourth Year Beiyang Minted Seven Mace Two Candareens silver dollar, in addition to the variety, the following three major factors directly determine the final appraisal value of the silver dollar:
- Condition Condition is the lifeblood of ancient coins. A pristine piece with full scales (no wear on dragon scales), perfect planchet, no chop marks, and no repairs, can fetch tens or even hundreds of times more than a heavily worn piece with blurry characters. The difference in silver dollar acquisition price can be immense.
- Grading Score (PCGS/NGC/GBCA) Coins that have been graded and slabbed by international authoritative grading agencies (such as PCGS, NGC) or well-known domestic agencies, i.e., "graded coins," have higher market recognition and liquidity. For Beiyang 34th Year coins with high scores (such as AU55, MS60 and above), we will offer premium acquisition prices.
- Cleaning & Preservation We strongly advise collectors never to clean or wipe silver dollars themselves! Maintaining the original historical patina (original luster, old patina) holds the highest value. "Washed coins" that have been acid-cleaned or destructively cleaned will have their collection value greatly diminished.
