Item details and appraisal notes
T54M is a single Lotus souvenir sheet, not a multi-stamp sheet. Its tall 70 × 146 mm format, 1-Yuan stamp, P11.5 perforation and 4 August 1980 issue date should be visible together before gum or local condition is enlarged.

Following the vertical format of the T54M Lotus sheet
Issue identity: Photograph the complete Lotus composition from top margin to bottom margin. The T54M code and 1-Yuan denomination should sit within one intact souvenir sheet, with no edge lost to a decorative crop.
Paper, gum and size: Show the 70 × 146 mm sheet dimensions and the 52 × 93 mm stamp area in separate measured views. On the reverse, use soft light to reveal gum disturbance without pressing the long sheet flat.
Condition map: Place a crease, foxed patch, short perforation or hinge mark on the full vertical image. A tone difference near the Lotus design should also be shown under neutral light so colour and paper discolouration are not confused.
Single-sheet completeness, margins and T54M gum
Perforations and margins: Inspect P11.5 around the 52 × 93 mm stamp while retaining the surrounding souvenir-sheet margin. A trimmed outer edge and a damaged stamp perforation are different condition issues and need separate views.
Completeness: Completeness here means one entire T54M souvenir sheet. Do not substitute the layout of the regular T54 Lotus set or describe this item as a full sheet of repeated stamps.
Album and packaging: Photograph the protective sleeve, album hinge and any contemporary annotation beside the Lotus sheet. If the reverse cannot be exposed safely, record that constraint rather than detaching the paper.
Keeping the long T54M paper fully supported
Move the Lotus souvenir sheet on a rigid backing that supports both narrow ends. Do not grip it by the central stamp, wash the gum or peel it from an album; document the mount before any controlled handling.
Care guidance for the tall T54M souvenir-sheet format
Before turning the long T54M paper, review Collectible Stamps with Stamp Mould: Isolation, Documentation and Storage Limits. The Lotus sheet still needs support along both narrow ends.
